Meratus Line & PT Great Giant Pineapple Promote Exports via New International Routes

Panjang, Lampung August 29, 2021 - A new route service was launched to connect Lampung Province via Panjang Harbor Port to Singapore by Meratus Line, a leading maritime and logistic operator in Indonesia. Meratus believed this new route can be an opportunity to increase trade activities between the two regions. The operation of this service also marks the bold new steps of Meratus Line's expansion to stay ahead to continue as the leader of Maritime logistics industry in Indonesia.

PING Service, as the Panjang-Singapore-Panjang service is named, will regularly sail every week by Windows Schedule, served by the Meratus Samarinda ship which has a capacity of 350 TEUs. Meratus Line's bold move is in line with the goal to increase its global network coverage journeys in the international market with a sustainable service and good reputation.

In order to reduce travel lead time which affects the effectiveness of shipping goods, this route will be run directly from Panjang port to Singapore with no stops to another port. This direct service is established as the best tangible form from Meratus Line to service clients who prioritize delivery time and quality. Furthermore, this route is also dedicated to support the Indonesian government to maintain and enhance trade connectivity with neighboring countries, especially in current difficult situations due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
