1. Q: Does Meratus provide shipment to overseas (export)?
  A:
Meratus provides several alternatives for overseas shipments, from direct export to co-operation with ocean going shipping line. Please contact nearest Customer Service or our Salesperson to find out which alternative most suited to your requirements.
2. Q: Does Meratus provide door-to-door service or land transport service?
  A:
Door-to-door service or land transport service is provided to complement our service to the customers, especially for the shipment of full container load.
3. Q: Does Meratus accept break bulk shipment?
  A:
Yes. Meratus accepts break bulk shipment for project cargo, machinery and equipments, and mining supplies. Meratus also accept heavy lift cargo and special, odd-sized cargo.
4. Q: How do I get Meratus update schedule?
  A:
To get Meratus update schedule, please contact your nearest Customer Service or our Salesperson; or please register your name and contact details to our Customer Service to get regular update. You may also download the schedule from Meratus website. Please click here.
5. Q: My buyer request proof/evidence of the shipment with Meratus. How do I get that proof/evidence?
  A:
The evidence that you have done a shipment with Meratus is shown by the issuance of Bill of Lading, which will be issued to you upon completion of payment and administration process.
6. Q: How does my buyer can retrieve / get the cargo which had been shipped with Meratus?
  A:
Your buyer can retrieve / take delivery of the cargo by surrendering the original Bill of Lading to local Meratus Branch Office/Representative Office and exchange the Bill of Lading with Delivery Order which will be issued upon completion of payment and administration process.
7. Q: Why Meratus limits the weight of the cargo stuffed inside container?
  A:
Quality and Safety are two main concerns of Meratus in servicing the customers. To guarantee the safety throughout whole transportation process, including safety of personnel in the field, labours; it is imperative for Meratus to ensure that every aspect and requirement of safety are being met, including weight limitation of cargo stuffed inside the container.
8. Q: How does my buyer can retrieve the cargo shipped with Meratus while I cannot send the original Bill of Lading to my buyer right on time?
  A:
To facilitate shippers who are not able to send original Bill of Lading to their buyer due to time limitation, Meratus provides “Telex Release” facility. Shipper shall surrender the original Bill of Lading back to Meratus through “surrender B/L” process to be exchanged with “telex release”. Shipper can then facsimile or email this “telex release” to their buyer. By surrendering “telex release” to local Meratus Branch Office/Representative Office to be exchanged with Delivery Order, your buyer can take delivery of the cargo.
9. Q: Why does Meratus charge ?demurrage? and ?detention? for late return of container / prolonged use of container by shipper or buyer?
  A:
A container is one of main facilities in cargo transportation; providing ease and safety to the customer/cargo owner. Every Meratus service is designed effectively and efficiently considering market condition, vessels’ capacity and numbers of container required. If customer wishes to use container longer than allowed time for the transportation, the customer must notify Meratus Customer Service in advance prior shipment to get more info and cost.
